The HA-2000 GPR horn antenna has all the properties of the HA-1000, but it has a double the center frequency. This means that thinner layers of asphalt in road investigations can be isolated easily. This antenna is equipped with very sensitive electronics and the weak signal is further amplified with a very low noise amplifier to obtain access to even the faintest of the reflections.

By shifting the Bandwidth and the center frequency of the antenna to 2GHz as expected we got an antenna working on the same principles like the HA-1000. The difference is that now we have a significantly improved resolution and therefore can determine much thinner layers. This of course comes at the price of maximum penetration depth. Nevertheless, when combined with HA-1000 and/or FLB-390 into a full fledged Road Survey System this antenna will record even the smallest changes in the asphalt layer. This is very valuable in planning the asphalt layer replacement or localized reparation.
